Man City vs Man United betting tips
Erling Haaland to score anytime
Erling Haaland, who is the favourite to win the Golden Boot, has a superb record for Manchester City against their fierce rivals since he arrived in England, with 6 goals and 3 assists in his five league appearances against United.
The big Norwegian has started the season in customary style, with 3 goals in 3 games for City, before scoring another six for Norway over the international break. We reckon he's very likely to end up on the scoresheet, and could even bag more than one.
Bruno Fernandes to be booked
United skipper Bruno Fernandes is a feisty character at the best of times, so we know what he'll be like for the first Manchester derby of the season.
The Portuguese playmaker is prone to picking up cards for dissent, and has also started this season in a deeper midfield role, making it more likely he'll get booked preventing a counter attack.
Bruno was booked in Man Utd's 3-2 win over Burnley last time out, and we think he'll get carded again here.
Bryan Mbeumo to have 1+ shots on target
Bryan Mbeumo has made an encouraging start at Old Trafford after his summer move from Brentford, despite the team's wider struggles.
The Cameroon forward opened his account in their infamous loss to Grimsby, before scoring his first Premier League goal for his new club against Burnley.
He's had at least one shot on target in two of his three games, averaging 1.34 per game, and at around even money represents good value to get one at the Etihad.
Manchester City to win
City looked like they were back when they started the year with a 4-0 win at Wolves, but subsequent losses to Spurs and Brighton have raised some familiar issues from last season.
The Red Devils got a desperately needed win over Burnley, but Amorim is leading the odds market for the next Premier League manager to leave, and after the Grimsby result is operating on a game-by-game basis.
United are actually unbeaten in the derby in the last four games, and won here 2-1 early on in Amorim's tenure. However, we think City could be out to prove a point against their beleaguered rivals, and will pick up a fairly comfortable three points. We've also backed Pep's side in our weekly acca.
