Manchester United are looking to maintain their 100% record under Michael Carrick when they host Tottenham in the Premier League on Saturday.

Carrick has overseen impressive wins over Manchester City, Arsenal and Fulham since coming in as interim, massively boosting his prospects of landing the Old Trafford job on a permanent basis beyond this season as they sit fourth in the Premier League.

They welcome an out-of-sorts Spurs to the Theatre of Dreams this weekend, although qualification for the Champions League last 16 and a comeback 2-2 draw with Man City has relieved some of the pressure on manager Thomas Frank.

Our prediction: Man Utd 3-1 Tottenham

Man Utd are without a win in their last seven games against Tottenham, including in last season's Europa League final, but we think that barren run will come to an end here.

The Red Devils were unlucky not to win at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in November and are flying under Carrick, while Spurs' struggles remain despite drawing with City. We're backing a 3-1 win for the hosts.

Bruno Fernandes is back playing in the No10 position and United are reaping the rewards of his extraordinary talents once again, with the captain providing an impressive five assists in his last four games for the Red Devils.

Given more freedom to get involved in the attacking third under Carrick, Fernandes is sure to have an impact on this game as well but, rather than back another assist, we think this could be a game where he finds the net himself given his threat from set pieces and the penalty spot.

Another man who is beginning to hit some form is Spurs striker Dominic Solanke, who netted twice in Spurs' draw with City as well as in both of their final league phase games to help secure a top-eight finish in the Champions League.

It may be difficult to keep his run going at Old Trafford but we think he will at least test Senne Lammens with a shot on target.

With United playing with more freedom and Spurs finally showing their capability of scoring, we think there could be some goals in this encounter.

Four of the last six meetings between these two have resulted in at least three goals being scored, with United averaging 3.8 per game overall this season and Spurs 2.8. We're expecting that trend to continue here with over 2.5 total goals in the game.

Our final pick goes along with our earlier prediction that Man Utd will emerge from this game with three points. The Red Devils are enjoying themselves under Carrick and while there could be bumps further down the line, we think the hosts are in better shape ahead of this game and should do enough to claim a fourth straight victory with their interim boss at the helm.
