Next Rangers manager odds: Kevin Muscat the new front-runner

Kevin Muscat is the odds-on favourite to become the newest boss at Ibrox according to the next Rangers manager odds released by Ladbrokes.
The former Rangers player is currently the manager of Chinese Super League side Shanghai Port, and is seemingly open to a move back to Glasgow to take over at Ibrox.
As Rangers look for their newest boss following Russell Martin's dismissal, Ladbrokes is tipping the Australian to be offered the job.
The 52-year-old's name was thrown around a bit in the summer when Rangers were looking for a manager to replace Philippe Clement, but it was Russell Martin who was appointed instead.
Now, after a terrible start to the season, Martin has been relieved of his duties and Muscat is in line to take over at Ibrox.

Kevin Muscat odds-on for Rangers job
Rangers are in the market for a new manager following their disastrous start to the 2025/26 Scottish Premiership season, and former player Muscat is odds-on to get the job.
The Ibrox faithful are desperate for this next appointment to be the right one, with Russell Martin's short and forgettable tenure leaving them adrift of Hearts, Celtic, and the top of the SPFL.
Muscat has already ventured around as a coach, managing in Australia, Belgium, Japan, and China - and a return to Scotland could be on the cards as Rangers look to get their season back on track. The former defender played 26 times for the Gers, and was part of the squad that won the domestic treble in 2002/03 - so his decorated history will go down very well with the Ibrox faithful.
Muscat's position as front-runner comes after Steven Gerrard recently put some distance between himself and the job, with the former Rangers boss initially thought to be in line for a mood-lifting return to Ibrox. Gerrard did incredibly well at Rangers in his stint as manager, and fans were ready to see him lead their team again - but Kevin Muscat has now emerged as the odds-on favourite.
Harvey Watkins of Ladbrokes said:
The odds initially suggested that Steven Gerrard would be returning to Ibrox, but after the former Champions League winner seemingly stepped out of the running, Ladbrokes is tipping Kevin Muscat to get the Rangers job.

Sean Dyche under consideration for Rangers manager job
An interesting name under consideration, according to reports, to become Rangers' next manager is Sean Dyche.
The former Premier League boss has been without a job since January, after being replaced at Everton by David Moyes, and could be intrigued by a stint up north at what is undoubtedly one of the UK's biggest - and most successful - clubs.
With intense expectation and an immediate need for results, whoever steps into the Ibrox hot-seat will be under pressure right from the off, but Dyche has the experience and know-how needed to cope in such a tricky environment.
But, with that being said, it is former player Muscat who Ladbrokes is tipping for the job - which is an appointment that is likely to go down very well with the Rangers faithful.
Despite seemingly turning down the job, Steven Gerrard has also shot back up the bookies' standings, with the former Rangers boss once again among the front-runners to return to Ibrox.
Danny Rohl and Derek McInnes are also among the favourites for the job, with Slaven Bilic, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Barry Ferguson a few of the other names in contention.
