Predicting every Premier League team's top goalscorer in 2025/26
Published:
As the new season rapidly approaches, Ladbrokes predicts every Premier League team's top goalscorer in 2025/26, with the likes of Viktor Gyokores and Mohamed Salah featuring.
Salah put the rest of the league to shame last season, scoring 29 goals on his way to a fourth Golden Boot and a second Premier League title, but will he be able to repeat the feat this year - or will a surprise contender emerge?
Below, Ladbrokes looks at every PL team and predicts who will lead their scoring charts in the 25/26 season - so read on!
Predicting every Premier League team's top goalscorer in 2025/26
Arsenal - Viktor Gyokores
In one of the more outlandish shouts in the list, we're backing Viktor Gyokores to come into Arsenal and finish the season as their top scorer - despite the Swede not even officially being an Arsenal player yet.
Of course, the likes of Bukayo Saka and Kai Havertz will always be in with a chance of picking up Arsenal's own Golden Boot, but with Gyokores proving his goalscoring ability on every stage for Sporting last season, we're expecting him to hit the ground running and bring the firepower that Arsenal desperately need - once he does become a Gunner.
Aston Villa - Ollie Watkins
Ollie Watkins has finished as Aston Villa's top goalscorer in each of the last five seasons, becoming the club's record PL scorer in the process with 75 goals. In his five seasons at the club, he's never scored fewer than 11 league goals in a season, and will also now be keen to become the outright penalty taker for the Europa League side.
The Englishman has been the subject of multiple transfer rumours this summer, but with Villa adamant that he will remain at Villa Park - and Unai Emery knowing how to get the very best out of him - we think Ollie Watkins will once again be Aston Villa's top goalscorer in the 2025/26 season.
Bournemouth - Evanilson
After enjoying a successful debut Premier League campaign in 2024/25, scoring 10 goals and helping Bournemouth to a top-half finish, Evanilson seems primed to kick on again and lead the goalscoring charts for the Cherries in 25/26.
The Brazilian popped up with some crucial goals last term, including a winner at Arsenal and a stoppage-time equaliser against Aston Villa, and as Andoni Iraola's side look to continue progressing up the league and into the European spots, we're predicting a big season for the number 9.
Brentford - Igor Thiago
Last season saw the dynamic duo of Bryan Mbeumo and Yoane Wissa emerge as the standout men for Brentford, scoring 39 goals between them - but with the former already sold and the latter looking likely to follow him out the door, we're backing Igor Thiago to fill their boots.
The Brazilian is yet to score a Premier League goal, and has only featured four times in 2025 due to injury, but with a clear route into the team and a point to prove, we think this season could see Igor really burst onto the scene - out-scoring the likes of Kevin Schade to become Brentford's main man.
Brighton - Danny Welbeck
34-year-old Danny Welbeck is still fit and firing at the very top level, and as he enters what will be his 18th season of Premier League football, we're backing him to once again prove he knows where the back of the net is for Brighton.
The veteran striker bagged 10 PL goals for the first time ever last season, and has since seen fellow strikers Joao Pedro and Evan Ferguson leave the club, meaning the minutes will certainly be there for Welbeck - and with his finishing ability, we wouldn't be surprised to see him break his own personal record for the second year in a row.
Burnley - Jacob Bruun Larsen
Re-joining the club this summer after starring in their last Premier League campaign, Jacob Bruun Larsen returns carrying both hope and expectation as Burnley look to do what they haven't managed since 2021 - stay in the top flight.
Brunu Larsen scored six goals in the 2023/24 season as the Clarets were comfortably relegated, but will be hopeful of firing his side to safety this time around under the guidance of Scott Parker. The Clarets won't be expected to blow teams away this season, but we're backing Bruun Larsen to at least notch a decent tally, regardless of their league position.
Chelsea - Cole Palmer
In a team that is quickly becoming rammed with exciting talent, Cole Palmer still stands out as the superstar of the side - and Ladbrokes is predicting that he will once again be Chelsea's top Premier League scorer next season.
In his two PL campaigns for the Blues, Palmer has scored a remarkable 40 goals from attacking midfield, and despite the likes of confirmed summer signings Joao Pedro and Liam Delap giving him a run for his money this year, the Englishman will continue to shine. A composed penalty taker, adept with free kicks and the first name on Enzo Maresca's team sheet, Palmer will certainly be finding the net a lot next season.
Crystal Palace - Jean-Philippe Mateta
In a summer where transfer rumours for strikers have been flying around almost endlessly, Jean-Philippe Mateta's name has stayed surprisingly out of the headlines - but that is simply Crystal Palace's gain.
The enigmatic Frenchman has scored 30 goals across the past two Premier League campaigns, helping Palace turn around what could have been a difficult season last term to end with a comfortable mid-table finish and an FA Cup - and with Oliver Glasner's style of play suiting the big striker to a tee, we're expecting another goal-laden campaign at Selhurst Park.
Everton - Thierno Barry
After finding themselves towards the bottom of the league with disappointing goalscoring numbers again last season, Everton will be hoping new signing Thierno Barry hits the ground running and finds his scoring boots in the PL - which is exactly what we're backing him to do.
Everton have been a very solid side since David Moyes rejoined the side in January, with the Toffees starting to look more like their old selves. Thierno Barry comes in from Villareal off the back of a decent campaign in La Liga, and will look to be the figurehead as Everton look forward to their new era at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
Fulham - Raul Jimenez
Raul Jimenez is no stranger to a Premier League goal, scoring 59 times in the league and continuing to cause problems for defences up and down the country. With that in mind, we're predicting that he will end the season as Fulham's top Premier League goalscorer, despite the competition from Rodrigo Muniz.
12 goals completed an excellent season for Jimenez last time out, and as Fulham's primary penalty taker, we're expecting another fruitful campaign for the Mexican as Marco Silva's side set their sights on the top seven and Conference League football.
Leeds - Joel Piroe
Last season's Golden Boot winner in the Championship, Joel Piroe will be leading the line in the Premier League for the very first time in 2025/26, and we're backing him to pick up where he left off last season - ending the campaign as Leeds' top Premier League goalscorer.
While defenders will be trickier to beat in the top tier, Piroe knows where the net is, and with Leeds looking primed to bring an exciting approach to the PL, expect plenty of chances to fall his way - and for the Dutchman to take them.
Liverpool - Mohamed Salah
Despite the signings of Florian Wirtz and Hugo Ekitike - and the potential addition of Alexander Isak - it's impossible to look past Mohamed Salah in a Liverpool shirt, with the Egyptian heading into the 2025/26 campaign hunting for his fifth Premier League golden boot.
With Liverpool early favourites to retain their title, Salah will yet again be the main main for Arne Slot's side, and you wouldn't bet against him scoring the 23 goals needed to overtake Wayne Rooney in the all-time standings. The undisputed penalty taker and a relentless goalscoring machine - who else could we predict?
Manchester City - Erling Haaland
In a similar vein to the aforementioned Liverpool, Man City's top goalscorer seems a formality before a ball has even been kicked. Arguably the best striker in the world, Erling Haaland has scored 85 Premier League goalsin just three seasons, and will once again lead the line for Pep Guardiola's men as they seek to avenge last season's poor performances.
Despite competition from the likes of Omar Marmoush and Phil Foden, Erling Haaland is the bookies' early favourite to win the Premier League Golden Boot next season, with his range of goals something to admire. That being said, if he struggles with injuries again, the door could open for another player to pounce and de-throne the Norwegian - so this is an open race.
Manchester United - Bruno Fernandes
This one is less cut and dry, with Man United's strikers offering very little in front of goal last season. If it wasn't for Bruno Fernandes, their 15th-placed finish could have been a lot worse, so we're predicting that the Portuguese playmaker will step up again and show his teammates how it's done this season.
Ruben Amorim has already made a couple of really useful additions in the form of Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha - two of last season's standout goalscorers - so expect the Red Devils to be much more clinical this term. However, neither of the two big-money signings are expected to play straight through the middle, so they may not be as prolific as they hope - hence why we're backing Bruno.
Newcastle - Anthony Gordon
In a painful turn of events for Newcastle fans, star striker Alexander Isak has reportedly told the club he wants to explore his options amidst talks of a move away - which means somebody else is really going to have to step up in his absence.
With that in mind, we're predicting that Anthony Gordon will take on the mantle of being Newcastle's top scorer next season, with the young winger registering decent tallies in each of his two full seasons at the club. Important goals against the likes of Liverpool and Spurs proved Gordon's worth last season - and we think his goalscoring ability could be key for Eddie Howe's side in 25/26.
Nottingham Forest - Chris Wood
Last season saw Chris Wood notch 20 PL goals for the first time in his career, as Forest - the Premier League's surprise package - led an unlikely charge for European football.
This time around, we might not be backing Wood to score 20 (in what could be a much more difficult campaign), but we do predict that he will lead the way for goals in a Nottingham Forest shirt again. The striker made scoring look easy last season, and with that confidence and a style of play that suits him to a tee, we're predicting another decent campaign for the New Zealander.
Sunderland - Wilson Isidor
In a season that saw them finally return to the Premier League following a memorable stoppage-time victory in the play-off final, Sunderland had Wilson Isidor to thank for some key contributions throughout the campaign - and we're backing the young forward to repeat the feat and take home Sunderland's Golden Boot again this term.
Despite some impressive signings like Simon Adingra and Chemsdine Talbi, the Black Cats will still be looking to their centre forward for inspiration - especially in games where their backs are against the wall - and it's the pacey Isidor who can deliver this. It won't be an easy season for Sunderland, with a number of special markets tipping them to struggle, but Isidor will certainly help them on their quest for Premier League survival.
Tottenham Hotspur - Dominic Solanke
After missing a chunk of last season though injury, Dominic Solanke will be eager to make this campaign one to remember in a Spurs shirt, rediscovering the goalscoring form that got him a move to north London in the first place.
Thomas Frank had the likes of Mbeumo and Wissa scoring a bucket-load of goals at Brentford last season, and with the quality of the Spurs squad at his disposal, we're sure to an exciting team create a lot of goalscoring chances - which Solanke will take. Alongside the league, Tottenham will also have the Champions League to find their rhythm and get Solanke into a run of form, so don't be surprised to see the striker break some personal milestones this year.
West Ham - Jarrod Bowen
As we mentioned in our piece highlighting one player every PL club should sign this summer, Jarrod Bowen has had to carry West Ham on his back for a while now, with even the likes of Mohammed Kudus and Lucas Paqueta failing to match the Englishman's impressive output in front of goal.
Now, with Kudus gone and even more impetus being put on Bowen to deliver, we're backing the West Ham skipper to continue the form that makes him such a favourite at the London Stadium. 29 goals across his previous two PL seasons is no mean feat, and in a team that relies on him so heavily, he's comfortably the front-runner to come out on top again.
Wolves - Jorgen Strand Larsen
Rounding off our predictions is Jorgen Strand Larsen at Wolves, with the 25-year-old Norwegian proving his worth at the back-end of last season. With 14 goals last term - and seven of them since March - he really started to find his feet in the Premier League, and will have to step up even more convincingly now that Wolves have waved goodbye to Matheus Cunha.
Vitor Pereira's side finished the season in decent shape last term, winning six in a row between March and May, and will hope to kick on into the top half this time around. They weren't the league's most prolific scorers, and that isn't likely to change this year, but Strand Larsen will certainly play his part.
So, that concludes our attempt at predicting every Premier League team's top goalscorer in the 2025/26 campaign. Check out one of our other pieces looking ahead to next season, as we make one crazy prediction about every single PL club.
