2026 World Cup Qualification: Predicting England's lineup vs Andorra

Harry Kane to earn his 108th England cap, going level with Bobby Moore
John Stones to start under Thomas Tuchel for the very first time
Noni Madueke to line up in place of the injured Bukayo Saka
Ahead of their World Cup Qualifier against Andorra, Ladbrokes has a punt at predicting England's lineup, with the likes of John Stones and skipper Harry Kane featuring.
After suffering his first defeat as England boss last time out, Thomas Tuchel will be hoping his side get back to winning ways - as we're predicting them to do in our international football acca - and maintain their perfect record in World Cup Qualifying.
The German is yet to name the same lineup twice as England boss, so this is no easy feat - but Ladbrokes loves a challenge. So without further ado, let's predict England's starting lineup vs Andorra.
Predicting England's lineup vs Andorra
Formation: 4-2-3-1
GK - Jordan Pickford
RB - Reece James
CB - John Stones
CB - Marc Guehi
LB - Myles Lewis-Skelly
CM - Declan Rice
CM - Jordan Henderson
RW - Noni Madueke
CAM - Morgan Rogers
LW - Marcus Rashford
ST - Harry Kane (C)
GK - Jordan Pickford
The undisputed number one, Everton keeper Pickford hasn't had to worry about his place in the side for a long, long time - and we don't think Tuchel will start tinkering with that spot just yet.
The 31-year-old has started all three competitive games under the new manager, and will be a shoo-in to add to his 76 caps when England play Andorra at Villa Park on September 6.
RB - Reece James
Finding his way back into the side since Tuchel's appointment, James is suddenly the outstanding right back in the England setup, with both Kyle Walker and Trent Alexander-Arnold missing out on a call-up for this early-season camp.
Tino Livramento does provide stern competition to the Chelsea captain, but with Tuchel and James having such a strong relationship from previously working together (and winning the Champions League together) at the Blues, James seems another easy pick.
CB - John Stones
Earning his first call-up under the new manager, we're expecting John Stones' pedigree (and undeniable quality) to see him head straight into Tuchel's lineup for England vs Andorra - at the expense of Ezri Konsa.
Konsa has played every competitive minute under Tuchel so far, and is clearly rated by the manager, but John Stones brings a level of experience and success that not many players in the squad can match. Therefore, Ladbrokes thinks the Man City man will be named in the England XI on Saturday.
CB - Marc Guehi
Alongside Stones at the heart of the defence, we're predicting that Marc Guehi will earn his 24th England cap from the start at Villa Park, giving the defender something to smile about after a chaotic deadline day that saw his proposed transfer to Premier League champions Liverpool fall through.
Guehi has started the season in typically steady form, even scoring an excellent goal for Crystal Palace at Villa Park last week, and having been in the headlines for so much of the transfer window, he will be at the front of Thomas Tuchel's mind. He completes a strong centre-back partnership that should be far too strong for Andorra.
LB - Myles Lewis-Skelly
Despite starting the season as the deputy to Riccardo Calafiori - and not even getting in our predicted Arsenal lineup this season - Ladbrokes is putting Myles Lewis-Skelly in our predicted England XI to face Andorra, with the teenager already proving to be a very useful player for Thomas Tuchel.
Having scored on his England debut and featured in a number of high-profile matches for Arsenal, Lewis-Skelly will be perfectly comfortable pulling on the England shirt, despite only being 18 years old. With that in mind - and a lack of specialist left backs in the squad - we think he will once again feature from the start.
CM - Declan Rice
Lining up in midfield, Declan Rice is one of the first names on the team sheet for both club and country, and we're firmly expecting him to add to his 66 England caps this weekend.
With five international goals to his name and a wealth of experience at club level, Rice is possibly the standout midfielder in the country right now - particularly with Jude Bellingham missing out through injury.
CM - Jordan Henderson
Alongside Declan Rice, we're predicting that Brentford's Jordan Henderson will once again start for England under Thomas Tuchel. The veteran midfielder was a surprising pick for the new manager's first camp, but having now featured in every competitive game under the German, we're backing that trend to continue.
Henderson brings real leadership to the team - which is likely why he is so favoured - and the experience to carry his young teammates. While he may not be many fans' first choice these days, he is a well-respected player in the camp and will certainly help drive the team on, so we're tipping him to earn cap number 85.
RW - Noni Madueke
With Arsenal star Bukayo Saka missing out on this international break through injury, somebody has some very big shoes to fill on the right-hand side - and we predict that the responsibility will fall to the Gunners' new signing, Noni Madueke.
Madueke impressed in Arsenal's recent defeat to Liverpool, and grabbed the only assist in England's last competitive game, so Tuchel will be keen to let the winger show his class. And if he keeps setting up Harry Kane, there won't be many complaints.
CAM - Morgan Rogers
The recently crowned PFA Young Player of the Year had a storming season last year, earning his first England caps and becoming a key player for club and country - and we're expecting the 23-year-old to get his third England start here.
On his club's pitch, the Aston Villa man should feel right at home this weekend, and will be keen to discover some form after a disappointing start to the league campaign. With the likes of Cole Palmer and Phil Foden missing out, this could be a great opportunity for Rogers to grab the game by the horns and prove to the country why he won the PFA YPOTY.
LW - Marcus Rashford
Since his loan to Villa last season, Marcus Rashford has looked like his old self again, and the now-Barcelona man will be raring to go back on home soil.
It didn't take Tuchel long to get Rashford back involved in the England setup, and the 27-year-old will be confident of adding to his 62 caps when Andorra come to town. England boast some strong options out wide, including West Ham captain Jarrod Bowen, but Rashford's athleticism and skill can be very difficult to ignore.
ST - Harry Kane
Arguably saving the best 'til last, we have Harry Kane. Predicting England's lineup is not an easy job by any means, but Harry Kane starting is as close to a guarantee as you can ever get.
England's captain, talisman and all-time leading goalscorer isn't somebody to put on the bench, even with the likes of Ollie Watkins putting the pressure on. He worked under Tuchel at Bayern, has repeatedly got England out of tricky situations, and is one of only 10 players to earn over 100 caps for England. So we're pretty sure he'll start this one - and probably score first.
