The Premier League continues this weekend with an entertaining encounter between Aston Villa and Manchester City at Villa Park.

After a rocky start to the season, Unai Emery's side have won five in a row in all competitions, while Erling Haaland is somehow reaching new heights with Manchester City.

Ladbrokes brings you its odds, betting tips and predictions ahead of Sunday's clash in the West Midlands, where Villa have won each of the last two games against City.

Any doubts about the Premier League's leading striker have been put to bed this season, with Haaland in imperious form so far this campaign. The big Norwegian has scored in nine games in a row in all competitions and has raced out to 11 goals in 8 Premier League games as he hunts another Golden Boot. We reckon that the Manchester City frontman will add to his tally again at Villa Park.

Matty Cash is always a threat going forward and Aston Villa's right back has shown those qualities this season, scoring from distance against Sunderland and producing an exquisite pass in the build-up to Villa's winner at Spurs last weekend.

That said, he has not always been the most convincing defensively and has a tendency to fly into tackles. Cash has picked up two bookings so far this season, and up against the trickery of Jeremy Doku we could see him getting another card in this one.

We've already said that we think Haaland will score, but Villa have rediscovered some of their attacking touch in recent weeks. Emi Buendia has emerged from the cold and significant injuries to give them a creative spark, and Morgan Rogers' form for England finally carried over to his club as he scored a superb equaliser at Spurs. Both teams have scored in eight of the last nine meetings between the two, and we think that will continue here.

This should be a closely fought game with Villa back in form and resembling the side of the last few seasons, and Unai Emery's side have won this fixture at Villa Park in each of the past two years. However, they have to navigate a Europa League tie at Go Ahead Eagles on Thursday night first.

City haven't fully clicked but are picking up wins because of the remarkable goalscoring exploits of Haaland. We think that could be the case again, with Pep's men grinding out a win to end their losing run at Villa Park, and keep pace with Arsenal in the title race.
