The Premier League is back for the 2025/26 season, and there's a cracking game on Saturday lunchtime as Aston Villa take on Newcastle United at Villa Park. Ladbrokes takes you through the latest odds and betting tips for this encounter between two European hopefuls.

Both teams are on the cusp of the European elite without quite managing to break through to the next level. Aston Villa reached the Champions League quarter-finals last season but missed out on qualification this year after losing to Man Utd on the final day.

That has continued in preseason, with Arsenal's 15-year-old Max Dowman the latest to receive a warm introduction from the all-action midfielder.

The Brazil international picked up 10 yellow cards in the Premier League last season, and even that feels like a lower number than it should have been.
