Premier League 2025/26: Crystal Palace vs Liverpool betting tips & predictions

Alexander Isak tipped to score his first Premier League goal for Liverpool
Jean-Philippe Mateta backed to trouble Liverpool's defence with 2+ shots
Liverpool predicted to make it six wins from six in the Premier League
As champions Liverpool face Crystal Palace in a battle between two unbeaten sides, Ladbrokes runs through its expert betting tips, with Alexander Isak backed to open the scoring.
Arne Slot's Reds have won every single game they've played this season - in all competitions - so head to Selhurst Park as clear favourites despite Palace's strong start to the season, with the Eagles themselves unbeaten in 17 competitive matches.
Below, Ladbrokes shares its top betting tips and predictions for the intriguing Saturday-afternoon clash.
Crystal Palace vs Liverpool betting tips & predictions
Alexander Isak to score first
After opening his Liverpool account in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday, Alexander Isak will be raring to go at Selhurst Park - particularly with Hugo Ekitike suspended for the trip to the capital. The Swede has had to bide his time since his big-money move from Newcastle, but he looked sharp against Southampton - and we're backing him to open the scoring on Saturday.
As we predicted in our article highlighting bets we'd make ahead of GW6, the game at Selhurst Park could well be a slow burner, with two strong defences going head-to-head. But Liverpool will work chances and eventually break down Palace in the second half, with Isak scoring his first Premier League goal in red.
Jean-Philippe Mateta to have 2+ shots
At the other end of the pitch, Palace have a clinical marksman of their own in the form of Jean-Philippe Mateta, who's scored 30 goals across the last two Premier League campaigns. The Frenchman already has a couple this season too, and we're backing him to test Liverpool's defence with 2+ shots on Saturday.
For all of Liverpool's quality, they have been slightly below par defensively this season, keeping just two clean sheets and throwing away leads - just to snatch them back again. With defensive lapses becoming concerningly frequent, Mateta will be ready to pounce on anything this weekend and will look to test Alisson. He scored against Liverpool in the Community Shield too, so confidence will be high.
Will Hughes to be carded
Perhaps the most combative player in Crystal Palace's team, Will Hughes' energy and determination complements Adam Wharton alongside him excellently, allowing his teammate to focus on his passing and creating - but it does mean Hughes is susceptible to a card or two.
The experienced midfielder has three bookings in the Premier League already this season, and will be tasked with putting Liverpool's players under pressure at Selhurst Park. With that in mind, we're predicting that Will Hughes will be shown a card by referee Chris Kavanagh, putting him dangerously close to the threshold for a suspension. Hughes' relentless attitude is why Palace fans love him so much, but breaking up play and disrupting opposition brings inevitable punishment from time to time.
Liverpool to win
Rounding off our Crystal Palace vs Liverpool betting tips & predictions, we have the big one - Liverpool to win. Despite Palace's impressive unbeaten run and their quality all over the pitch, Liverpool just look unstoppable right now, winning every single game they played this season.
They've had scares, but always find a way to come out on top, and with the likes of Mohamed Salah, Virgil van Dijk and Alexander Isak in the starting XI, the Reds will go into almost every game as favourites. Palace won't make it easy for their visitors, whose away performances haven't been overly convincing, but we can't back against the champions and title favourites. This could be one of the games of the weekend between two excellent sides, but we're tipping Liverpool to extend their winning run to eight games.
