Premier League odds: Everton vs Arsenal bet builder and prediction
Arsenal to win
Arsenal secured a massive late win at home to bottom-side Wolves last time out, at a time when it looked like their title tilt was beginning to wobble, particularly with the resurgent form of Manchester City. Mikel Arteta's side remain two points clear at the top of the table. Everton has traditionally been a tricky fixture for them, with the Gunners winning just one of the last five encounters at Goodison Park.
The Toffees' form at new home Hill Dickinson Stadium has been decent, but they did suffer heavy losses recently to Spurs and Newcastle. David Moyes has them 9th in his first full season back in charge. However, they've lost Iliman N'Diaye and Idrissa Gueye to AFCON, and Jack Grealish and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall are both injury doubts. We think that could make the difference, with Arsenal picking up a massive win on Merseyside to continue their title challenge.
Bukayo Saka 1+ shots on target
Arsenal's starboy came to the fore again in their dramatic 2-1 win over Wolves, having a hand in both goals even if Wolves were kind enough to convert the chances themselves. Saka has a goal or assist in each of the last four league games and has at least one shot target in four of the last five. The England winger is averaging 1.28 shots on target per game in the Premier League this season, and we're backing him to land another here.
Vitaliy Mykolenko to get booked
The man tasked with stopping Saka will be Everton left-back Vitaliy Mykolenko, and the Ukrainian international knows he'll have his hands full against one of the Premier League's elite attackers. Mykolenko has committed at least one foul in four of the last five games, and he's picked up two yellow cards in the last three games, to take his tally to three for the season. We think there's a decent chance he picks up another booking here at odds of around 4/1.
Under 2.5 goals
Arsenal's mean defence has been slightly more leaky recently with only one clean sheet in their last six league games, with that mitigated by an extensive injury list, which is now beginning to ease. Gabriel and Cristian Mosquera are still out but William Saliba is back. Meanwhile, Everton could be missing all three of their attacking midfielders, which doesn't bode too well when their strikers Beto and Thierno Barry have just two league goals between them. This fixture has had under 2.5 goals in three of the last four meetings, and we're predicting that will happen again.
