Premier League Gameweek 25 preview: Predictions & odds

Published: Updated at:

Gameweek 25 features a number of high-profile Premier League matches, including Liverpool vs Manchester City, and Ladbrokes previews them all.

The weekend kicks off on Friday night with a six-pointer at the bottom of the table, as Daniel Farke's Leeds welcome Sean Dyche's Nottingham Forest to Elland Road.

Saturday's action then takes centre stage, beginning at Old Trafford as Man United host Spurs at 12:30, before Arsenal face Sunderland in the pick of the 15:00 games.

Newcastle play Brentford in Saturday's late kick-off, before Sunday sees fierce rivals Brighton and Palace go head-to-head at the Amex. The weekend then concludes at Anfield with the big one, as Liverpool host Man City.

Premier League gameweek 25 preview: Predictions & odds

Premier League Gameweek 25 Preview

Leeds United vs Nottingham Forest

Leeds have turned a corner under Daniel Farke, particularly at home, and will be desperate to put last weekend's thumping at the hands of Arsenal behind them. Forest travel to Yorkshire in good spirits, in the thick of a four-game unbeaten run, but under the lights at an atmospheric Elland Road, we're backing the hosts to edge it.

Manchester United vs Tottenham Hotspur

Since taking over as interim boss, Michael Carrick has led Manchester United to three consecutive victories in the Premier League, reigniting their hopes of snatching a top-four finish come the end of the season. Spurs, on the other hand, are still floundering in the bottom half, and despite a hard-fought draw at home to Man City last week, we don't see them causing United too many issues here.

Bournemouth vs Aston Villa

Last weekend's defeat to Brentford put a real dent in Villa's unlikely title challenge, and Unai Emery's side will have to bounce back at the Vitality Stadium to restore confidence in their push for Champions League football. Bournemouth come into this one in good form, but the Cherries haven't beaten Villa in their last six attempts - so we're tipping the visitors to get back to winning ways.

Arsenal vs Sunderland

The Premier League title favourites extended their lead at the top of the table to six points last weekend, and we don't anticipate any problems when they host Sunderland - who still only have two away wins to their name. The Black Cats dismantled Burnley last Monday, but Arsenal present a much tougher challenge, and despite snatching a dramatic draw against the Gunners back in November, we think Sunderland will fall short at the Emirates.

Burnley vs West Ham United

Two of the relegation favourites go head-to-head at Turf Moor, with both teams in desperate need of points as they scrap for Premier League survival - but there can only be one winner. With Burnley winless in 15 (a run that stretches back to October) and West Ham recently picking up back-to-back wins, it's the visitors who come into this one in more confident mood, so we're backing the Hammers to claim three vital points.

Fulham vs Everton

Fulham and Everton kick off level on points in the top half of the Premier League, with both sides still maintaining aspirations of a surprise European push, but we're expecting Fulham's strong home form to guide them to victory. The Cottagers have won three of their last four home games in the league, so despite Everton winning the last two meetings between these sides, we're backing the hosts to take all three points.

Wolverhampton Wanderers vs Chelsea

A mini upturn in form at the start of 2026 gave Wolves fans a glimmer of hope, but back-to-back defeats have brought them crashing back down to Earth, and it would take a miracle for Rob Edwards' side to avoid relegation from here. Chelsea, on the other hand, are looking increasingly strong, and against one of the Premier League's worst-ever sides, we think the Blues will cruise to victory.

Newcastle United vs Brentford

After beating Aston Villa for the third time this season, Brentford shot back up into the European places to continue what has been a remarkable campaign - but we think they'll struggle at St. James' Park. Newcastle's home record has always been their strong point, and with the Magpies looking for a first win in four Premier League attempts, we're backing them to secure a narrow victory.

Brighton & Hove Albion vs Crystal Palace

A fierce rivalry renews at the AMEX, but with both sides severely struggling for form, we're anticipating a cagey affair on the south coast. Brighton have just one win in 11 Premier League games, while Palace are winless in nine, and with seven of the last 13 meetings ending all square, we're predicting a score-draw in this one.

Liverpool vs Manchester City

The Premier League weekend ends with a blockbuster at Anfield, as champions Liverpool host title-hopefuls City - and we're predicting a hard-fought draw to round off gameweek 25. Neither team arrives in blistering league form, with both sides picking up just one win from their last six, so despite the undoubted quality on display, we think a tight affair will end all square.
