Ladbrokes has Mikel Arteta and Pep Guardiola as joint-favourites in the Premier League Manager of the Season market
Arsenal lead the table, but Manchester City are just three behind with a game in hand after beating the Gunners 2-1 on April 19
Sunderland boss Regis Le Bris is next in the betting after guiding the newly-promoted Black Cats into the top-half conversation

Ladbrokes has installed Mikel Arteta and Pep Guardiola as joint favourites in the Premier League Manager of the Season market, with the award race looking every bit as tight as the battle for the title itself.
That makes plenty of sense, too. Arsenal are top of the table, but Manchester City are only three points back having played a game fewer, and Guardiola’s side have already blown the race wide open with a huge 2-1 win over Arsenal.
If City win their game in hand away to Burnley on 22 April, they will go above the Gunners at the summit. With that in mind, it is not hard to see why the market cannot split the pair.
If Arsenal finally get over the line and win a first title since 2003/04, Arteta’s case writes itself. But if Guardiola drags City past them from here, then another trademark late charge could easily make him the man to beat.
Away from the two market leaders, Regis Le Bris stands out as one of the more interesting names in the running. Sunderland only returned to the Premier League this season after Le Bris guided them back to the top flight following an eight-year absence, and the Black Cats sit in mid-table. For a newly-promoted side, that is the sort of campaign that gets people’s attention.
Andoni Iraola is another boss with a live case. Bournemouth are still in the mix just outside the European spots, and earlier in the season the Cherries put together a club-record eight-match unbeaten Premier League run under the Spaniard. If they finish the season strongly, with Iraola set to leave the club this summer, his price could yet look generous.
Then there is David Moyes, whose second spell at Everton has clearly restored some momentum around the club. The Scot returned to Goodison last season with Everton down in 16th, and this campaign the Toffees are fighting for a European spot while beginning a new chapter at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, their new home. That sort of stabilising, upward work is often exactly what puts a manager into the conversation.
Keith Andrews also merits a mention after stepping up from Brentford’s coaching staff to become head coach last summer. Brentford are currently just outside the Champions League spots, which keeps Andrews firmly in the outside-looking-in group of contenders. Meanwhile, Unai Emery has Aston Villa inside the top four, level with third-placed Manchester United.
Further down the list, Fabian Hurzeler remains an interesting outsider. The Brighton boss became the youngest head coach in Premier League history when he was appointed in 2024 and his side are sitting in mid-table, just behind Bournemouth and Brentford.
As for Michael Carrick, he is a bigger price but not impossible to explain. United appointed him as head coach until the end of the season in January, and they currently sit in third. That said, with Arteta and Guardiola dominating the title picture, it still feels like the award is theirs to lose.
