The Carabao Cup third round continues on Tuesday night, with London rivals West Ham and Fulham going head-to-head.

West Ham's relegation last season means this is now a Championship vs Premier League clash, with Fulham ordinarily expected to be on top against lower-league opposition.

But our experts believe a win for the Cottagers is not the foregone conclusion it may seem, despite being very narrow favourites, with recent form suggesting West Ham may actually be able to upset the odds.

After a slightly slower start to life in the second tier, the Hammers have really clicked into gear, winning their last four Championship games and scoring 16 goals in the process. The Irons are on a roll and will be confident of remaining in the cup after beating Southampton 4-1 in the previous round.

Fulham, meanwhile, have had a tough start to life under Alvaro Arbeloa, with the Whites without a win in four games in the Premier League and only picking up their first point of the season in a goalless draw at Liverpool.

While they are currently in different leagues, West Ham are arguably in better shape as it stands and with home advantage, a win for the Championship leaders feels like a possibility well worth backing.
