How will the promoted teams fare?

It's as difficult as ever for promoted sides from the Championship to make their mark in the Premier League, with the financial gap between the elite sides and the rest growing ever larger.

In the past two seasons, all three promoted sides have been relegated back to the second tier at the first time of asking. Leicester, Ipswich and Southampton had the lowest ever collective points tally for relegated teams in 2024/25. That broke the record set a season earlier by Luton, Burnley and Sheffield United.

One of Ladbrokes' Premier League 2025/26 Specials bets is for that trend to continue. Leeds, Burnley and Sunderland all to get relegated is odds of 11/4.

Alternatively, if you think the trio of promoted teams will beat the odds and all survive the drop, you can back that at odds of 20/1.

Sunderland have made a right go of things in the transfer market, splashing out on signings such as Granit Xhaka and Habib Diarra. If you think the Black Cats have what it takes to stay in the division, you can back that at 9/4.

Burnley had a record-breaking defence in the Championship last season, but have lost key figures from their backline such as keeper James Trafford and centre back CJ Egan-Riley. The odds for Sunderland to finish above Burnley are 6/5.

Wolves and Brentford have been earmarked as two sides that could struggle this year, having lost some key players like Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo, who both joined Man Utd. The odds for Wolves, Brentford and Burnley to get relegated are 25/1.

Can Liverpool go unbeaten?

Reigning Premier League champions Liverpool are building from a position of strength this summer, making several key signings as they aim to retain their crown.

The holders have already added Florian Wirtz for a British-record fee, as well as Hugo Ekitike, Jeremie Frimpong and Milos Kerkez to their title-winning side. Now, the Reds are being heavily linked with a move for Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak.

Isak has scored at least 20 goals in the past two Premier League seasons and a potential switch to Anfield would set alarm bells ringing across the rest of the league. If he can deliver that consistency in front of goal on Merseyside, it would take an already world-class team up another level.

The only team to go unbeaten over a full Premier League season was Arsenal in 2003, but Ladbrokes are taking bets on Liverpool to repeat that feat in 2025/26 at odds of 66/1.
