Scottish Premiership odds: Celtic still in title driving seat

Celtic are eight points behind Hearts at the top of the Scottish Premiership, but the reigning champions remain favourites to win the title.
In fact, Celtic are odds-on to retain their title come the end of the season, with an assumed probability of over 50%.
Hearts are their closest competition, owing a lot to their incredible start to the season, as well as the fact that Rangers have only won two of their first nine games.
Despite failing to win just shy of half of their opening nine games, Celtic are still odds-on to retain the title according to Ladbrokes' latest Scottish Premiership winner odds.

The champions did go out from 4/11 to 4/6 after October 26th's defeat to Hearts, who shortened from 3/1 to 6/4 to become the first team besides the Old Firm to win the top flight for more than 40 years. Rangers (10/1) are the only other side priced shorter than 100/1.
Cal Gildart of Ladbrokes said: Unbeaten in nine and eight points clear, the seriousness of Hearts’ title challenge is being reflected in the shortening of their odds. But despite an increasingly difficult path to the top, Celtic remain the big favourites to win a fifth straight title.
To show just how well Hearts have done this season, they were the 16/1 third-favourites for the title at the start of the season.
What happens with Celtic for the remainder of the season could depend a lot on the future of their managerial position, with Brendan Rodgers’ resigning late on October 27.
In their announcement of Rodgers' departure, it was confirmed that former boss Martin O'Neill will take charge on an interim basis, starting out with their home match against Falkirk on October 29.
O'Neill could become the manager on a permanent basis, but Ladbrokes doesn't have him as one of the favourites, with the front-runner being Ange Postecoglou.
