4.55 - Tatler British EBF Maiden Fillies' Stakes (GBB/IRE Incentive Race) - Uncertainty

We start with Uncertainty on Thursday, a nice two-year-old filly trained by Richard Hannon. She outran her odds on debut at Newbury earlier this month, finishing second to Brisk Symphony who was always prominent there. I was impressed with how well she ran on inside the final furlong though, to overtake Jowalla and Miracleoftheandes, and I think she'll go well over seven furlongs.

She's among the outsiders in a relatively unknown field, but she's looked good at home and I'd say she's improved since that first run, so with a bit of luck I'm hopeful we've got a good each-way chance here.

Uncertainty ran a very nice race at Newbury last time and has improved.

5.30 - World Pool Bet With The Tote Handicap - Transparent

Transparent is my second ride of the day and he's one I really like the look of here. He's trained by Tom Ward and he ran really well at Southwell last time out in what was his first race after a gelding operation.

I know the horse well and rode both his winners earlier this year - he's no stranger to Goodwood and he did well on the turf at Newmarket a couple of months back. I think this is a pretty open race and it doesn't look as though there's a clear standout name in the field, so I'd expect him to be very competitive back on the turf here.
