Balogun backed to test Australia, with Morocco tipped to avoid defeat
Brazil expected to bounce back in style, while Turkey are backed to beat Paraguay.
Check out our 2026 World Cup accumulator tips for day nine of the tournament, as USA and Australia look to build on perfect starts, while Brazil aim to respond after being held in their Group C opener.

Mauricio Pochettino's USA side made a major statement with their opening win over Paraguay, and with Folarin Balogun already up and running, we're backing the striker to make his presence felt again against Australia.
Elsewhere, Scotland face an impressive Morocco side in Boston, Brazil take on Haiti in Philadelphia, and Turkey meet Paraguay in a Group D clash where both teams badly need a result.
Below you'll find our acca tips for day nine of the World Cup, which we will be providing on a daily basis throughout the tournament.

Scotland vs Morocco (Friday, 19 June, 2026 - 23:00 BST)
Brazil vs Haiti (Saturday, 20 June, 2026 - 01:30 BST)
Turkey vs Paraguay (Saturday, 20 June, 2026 - 04:00 BST)
The first pick of our day nine acca comes from USA vs Australia, where we're backing Folarin Balogun to register 1+ shot on target.
Balogun could hardly have asked for a better start to the tournament, scoring twice in USA's win over Paraguay, with those two goals coming from five shots, three of which ended up on target. Paraguay may be a weaker defensive unit than Australia on paper, especially after conceding four in their opener, but there is still enough to like about Balogun's chances of testing the goalkeeper again.
Australia deserve huge credit for beating Turkey 2-0 in their first game, but that scoreline did not necessarily tell the full story, with Patrick Beach producing eight saves to keep the Socceroos in control. Australia also lost 2-1 when they faced USA in 2025, and they have conceded in at least 60% of their last 10 matches, so we expect the co-hosts to create openings.
With Balogun full of confidence, and the front-footed USA we saw in game one likely to be in full force again, we're tipping the striker to have at least one shot on target.
Turning our attention to Group C now, and we're backing Morocco to avoid defeat when they take on Scotland.
Scotland got their World Cup campaign off to the perfect start with a 1-0 win over Haiti, but this looks like a much tougher test. Morocco may only have drawn with Brazil in their opening match, but they seriously impressed against a side many had down as one of the favourites heading into the tournament.
Morocco have quality all over the pitch, and their wider form is very hard to ignore. If we set aside January's controversial AFCON final against Senegal, as well as games in the African Nations Championship, where players must be based in their own domestic national league to be eligible, Morocco's unbeaten run stretches back to January 2024, when they lost 2-0 to South Africa.
So while Scotland will be full of belief after ending their long wait for a World Cup win, we're not expecting Morocco's impressive run to end here. Our second pick is Morocco to win or draw.
Brazil were held by Morocco in their opening Group C match, but we're expecting a much stronger attacking display when Carlo Ancelotti's side take on Haiti.
Morocco deserve plenty of credit for the way they played against the five-time World Cup winners, but Brazil were also well below their best, looking leggy in several areas of the pitch and needing a moment of individual brilliance from Vinicius Jr to avoid defeat.
This should be a far more favourable match-up, though, and we're backing Brazil to score three or more goals. Prior to the tournament, Brazil had scored 12 goals across their four matches in 2026, an average of three per game, while they were averaging around two-and-a-half goals per game across their previous 10 before the World Cup.
Haiti should offer Brazil more space and more chances than Morocco did, and with the home side on the night needing a statement performance to get their campaign properly moving, we're backing them to cut loose.
The fourth and final pick of our day nine accumulator is for Turkey to beat Paraguay in a crucial Group D clash.
Both sides lost their opening match, meaning this already feels like a game neither can afford to lose if they want to keep their hopes of reaching the next stage firmly alive. But it is Turkey we're backing to bounce back.
Their 2-0 defeat to Australia was a frustrating one, but the performance was not quite as poor as the scoreline suggests. Turkey won the xG battle, had more shots, created more big chances and forced the opposition goalkeeper into making more saves than Australia did on the night.
Their form before the tournament was also excellent. Turkey entered the World Cup on the back of a four-match winning run, and had won seven of their last eight matches before the tournament, drawing the other. Across their last 10 matches prior to the World Cup, they had an 80% win rate, with the only matches they failed to win coming against Spain.
Paraguay, meanwhile, conceded four against USA in their opener, and we're expecting Turkey to respond with the three points they need.
So a Turkey win is our final pick, bringing a close to our day nine World Cup accumulator.
