West Ham vs Charlton: West Ham to win

The second leg takes us to the Championship, where West Ham host Charlton in a London derby at the London Stadium.

Despite drawing 2-2 away at Burnley on the opening weekend, West Ham showed plenty of attacking intent against opponents who were relegated from the Premier League. Returning home offers an opportunity to make a statement in front of their own supporters.

Tottenham are the third selection as Roberto De Zerbi begins his first Premier League campaign in charge of Spurs away at Brentford.

Just as importantly, Tottenham's preparations appear to have worked after seven unbeaten pre-season fixtures in which the squad had ample time to adapt to the manager's methods.

Brentford have retained much of the side which narrowly missed out on European qualification, but their pre-season schedule has been considerably lighter.

The Bees also won only one of their final 10 Premier League matches last season. With Tottenham appearing sharper and carrying encouraging momentum, an away win earns a place in this four-leg accumulator.

Fulham vs Chelsea: Chelsea to win

The final leg arrives on Monday night as Chelsea travel across West London to face Fulham at Craven Cottage.

Chelsea have spent pre-season adjusting to life under Xabi Alonso and enter the campaign with many viewing them as potential challengers near the top of the table. Key players Cole Palmer and Joao Pedro also benefited from a summer without World Cup involvement, while £117million man Morgan Rogers could make his debut following his move from Aston Villa.

Fulham have undergone significant change, including the arrival of several younger recruits and a manager facing one of the biggest challenges of his coaching career.

Chelsea have enjoyed strong recent results in this fixture and arrive with arguably the more established squad. An away victory rounds off the four-fold accumulator for the opening gameweek.
