Ladbrokes provides all you need to know about World Cup co-hosts USA, Mexico and Canada
Mexico are tipped to reach the last 16, with USA and Canada eliminated in the round of 32
All three teams will have home advantage in the group stage, with that remaining in the knockouts if they win their groups

The 2026 World Cup will make history as the first to be staged across three nations, with 48 teams descending on the United States, Canada and Mexico for a historic celebration of football.
With 104 matches played across 16 cities across North America, this World Cup promises to be the biggest yet - and all three host nations will be hoping to excite their supporters with a good showing on home soil.
Ladbrokes takes an in-depth look at all three host nations - and predicts which of them will perform the best this summer.
Stadium Name | Host City | Matches |
|---|---|---|
Dallas Stadium | Dallas | 9 |
New York New Jersey Stadium | New York/New Jersey | 8 |
Los Angeles Stadium | Los Angeles | 8 |
Atlanta Stadium | Atlanta | 8 |
Houston Stadium | Houston | 7 |
Miami Stadium | Miami | 7 |
Boston Stadium | Boston | 7 |
Kansas City Stadium | Kansas City | 6 |
Philadelphia Stadium | Philadelphia | 6 |
Seattle Stadium | Seattle | 6 |
San Francisco Bay Area Stadium | San Francisco Bay Area | 6 |
The USA is where the majority of the action will take place, with the Americans hosting 78 of the 104 matches.
That includes every match from the quarter-final onwards, with the final being staged at the New York New Jersey Stadium on Sunday, July 19.
The Dallas Stadium in Texas will host the most with nine matches, with the Los Angeles Stadium and the Atlanta Stadium level with New York on eight. The action really is spread across the country though, with cities like Atlanta, Miami, Boston, Seattle and San Francisco all hosting six games or more.
USMNT kick off their campaign against Paraguay in Los Angeles, before remaining on the west coast against Australia in Seattle, with their third game against Turkey back in LA.
If they win Group B, they look set to play their round-of-32 game in San Francisco, with a trip to Dallas if they finish as runners-up - meaning they are guaranteed to have home advantage throughout the tournament - which could give them the upper hand.
The United States are given the best chance of all the hosts according to Ladbrokes' odds, but they are still outsiders to win the tournament at 50/1 in the outright winner market.
While winning a first World Cup may be a step too far, there is genuine optimism that Mauricio Pochettino's men can go further than or at least match their best World Cup effort, which was when they reached the quarter-finals in 2002.
However, the expanded format means they will have to win two knockout matches just to get to that stage, which is more than they have ever won in total across all their World Cups.
That's before you mention what is a tricky Group D containing Turkey, Paraguay and Australia. While they should progress into the knockouts, elimination at the round of 32 or potentially the last 16 feels the most likely.
USA prediction: Round of 32
Stadium | Host City | Matches |
|---|---|---|
Estadio Akron | Guadalajara | 4 |
Estadio Azteca | Mexico City | 5 |
Estadio BBVA | Monterrey | 4 |
Mexico have three host cities in Guadalajara, Mexico City and Monterrey, with the iconic Estadio Azteca in CDMX staging the most with five, next to four for the other two.
Mexico kick off the World Cup against South Africa at the newly-refurbished Estadio Azteca. Their second game against South Korea is at the Estadio Akron in Guadalajara, before they return to the capital for their final group game versus Czechia, with a raucous home atmosphere expected for all three games in what is a country with a rich footballing history.
Topping Group A is much more crucial for Mexico (and Canada) than it is for the USA, as it means they would remain at the Azteca for their round-of-32 and last-16 games.
The high altitude of 7,200 feet above sea level at their national stadium is sure to prove a huge advantage to a set of players more used to playing in those conditions compared to their opponents, which could be England in the last 16.

Mexico are given odds of 66/1 in the outright market and, like USA, will have more modest aims for this tournament.
El Tri have reached the quarter-finals in both of the previous times they were World Cup hosts, but repeating that may prove a tall order for them too.
Unlike in previous tournaments, they are lacking in big-name players, with the star man up front being Raul Jimenez, who at 35 years of age is not the player he once was.
A kind draw and home advantage will play into their favour, but a potential last-16 tie against third-favourites England feels like where their journey will end.
Mexico prediction: Last 16
Stadium | Host City | Matches |
|---|---|---|
BC Place | Vancouver | 7 |
BMO Field | Toronto | 6 |
Canada have the least home cities with two - Vancouver and Toronto - as BC Place and BMO Field prepare to stage seven and six games respectively.
As well as hosting all of Canada's group fixtures, the likes of Germany, Senegal and Belgium will also play a game there in the initial stages, before staging two round-of-32 matches and one last-16 clash.
Like their co-hosts, Canada have home advantage for all three of their Group B games, with their first coming in Toronto against Bosnia & Herzegovina before they head to Vancouver to face off against both Qatar and Switzerland.
Once again, the reward for topping their group is home advantage in Vancouver for both the round of 32 and last 16, whereas finishing runners-up would see them head across the border to LA in the USA.

Canada are the underdogs compared to their co-hosts with outright winner odds of 150/1.
It is only Les Rouges' third World Cup, having been knocked out at the group stages in 1986 and 2022, but the expanded format and favourable group as hosts should see them break new ground this time around.
They are not short of notable talent, such as Alphonso Davies and Jonathan David, with Jesse Marsch's men tipped to finish second behind Switzerland in their group.
Win the group and they will face a third-place finisher from another group, while if they come second, they will face the Group A winners, which could be Mexico, Czechia, South Korea or South Africa.
It doesn't seem out of the question that they beat any of those sides, but we're tipping them to be knocked out by their fellow co-hosts Mexico in the round of 32.
Canada prediction: Round of 32
