Norway vs England betting preview
England are into the World Cup quarter-finals after producing one of their greatest-ever performances to beat Mexico 3-2 in Mexico City.
It was a game that had everything, from quickfire doubles and red cards to VAR drama, but Thomas Tuchel’s side found a way through to set up a fascinating last-eight clash with Norway. The Three Lions now face a very different challenge, with Erling Haaland standing between them and a place in the semi-finals.
Norway reached the quarter-finals by stunning Brazil 2-1, with Haaland scoring both goals in a landmark win for his country. After already making a huge impact at his first World Cup, the Manchester City striker will now be the obvious danger man England must contain.
Norway vs England odds
England will be expected to feature prominently in the match betting, but Norway’s win over Brazil has set up one of the most itriguing ties of the entire summer.
Haaland’s brace against one of the tournament favourites makes him a major player in the goalscorer markets, while Harry Kane remains central to England’s hopes after another influential knockout-stage campaign. Jude Bellingham, Bukayo Saka and Anthony Gordon could also attract interest in player betting, with match result, correct score, over/under goals, both teams to score, cards, corners and Bet Builder markets all available.

Can England stop Erling Haaland?
Stopping Haaland will be England’s biggest defensive task of the tournament so far.
Norway’s talisman showed against Brazil that he doesn't need a second invitation to decide a knockout tie, and England will need to be sharper defensively than they have been at times in this tournament. However, after surviving the chaos of Mexico City, Tuchel’s side should arrive with huge belief.
If England can control possession, limit service into Haaland and get their own attacking players into dangerous areas, they have every chance of reaching the final four.
When is Norway vs England?
Norway vs England takes place on Saturday, 11 July, 2026, with the quarter-final kicking off at 22:00 BST.
The winner will move into the semi-finals, with England aiming to build on their dramatic victory over Mexico, and Norway looking to follow up their stunning win over Brazil.
