Verdict
With the stalls in the centre, rather than against the stands' side as is usually the case in this race, the dominance of high-drawn horses may not be so marked. That said, the Royal meeting will still be fresh in the mind of connections' and gravitating towards the stands' rail wouldn't be out of the question. Mesaafi, third in this race 12 months ago, looks set to go well again, while big runs from Havana Hurricane, Dubai Bling and the intriguing Behike (second choice) should be forthcoming. ANNAF ran his best race of the year when third at Newcastle two weeks ago and he is still well treated despite a small rise in the weights.[Paul Smith]
