Verdict
None of these finished better than seventh last time out. Five of them admittedly were lining up at Royal Ascot where ERNST BLOFELD (nap) put up by far the most competitive display, moving up to challenge for the lead entering the straight until approaching the final 1f. Without the spectre of 1m6f this time, this seems to present a pretty good opportunity for him to return to the number one spot. Nightime Dancer was one of those who tailed off at the Royal meeting but he is feared most judged on his previous effort, followed by Ghaiyya who should find this a more suitable test than the Listed race she ran in on her latest outing.[Richard Austen]
