Verdict
A wide-open contest but preference is for EY UP HE'S A STAR to get off the mark after two decent placed efforts in handicaps in June and his last performance may have been due to unsuitable ground (soft). The main danger is Uncle Sam who has returned in good form and another win looks imminent. Lima Sierra has already won twice this year and cannot be discounted. Law Degree has plummeted in the handicap and should be thereabouts, while it is worth keeping an eye on Latona who is yet to win but is open to improvement for new connections.[Andrew Bladen]
