Irish stables have won four of the last five renewals and, although not represented this time, the ex-Irish MOON D'ORANGE could be interesting on only his second run for Christian Williams, whose horses are running well. The 8yo has gone winless since scoring here in early 2025, but he was a running-on third in last season's 2m4f Plate at the Festival, and there's every reason to believe he can leave his stable debut run over hurdles well behind. Katate Dori (second choice) appears to have plenty in his favour and Uncle Bert is also respected, as is Here Comes Georgie on his first run for Dan Skelton.[Alistair Jones]
