Verdict
In a competitive race it's easy to make good cases for High Tea and Grenadier Jed. However, both fell when last in action and are now 13lb above their last winning marks. The answer could be dual course winner CASTELFORT (nap), who had his chasing career shelved after two underwhelming runs in the autumn but ran respectably on quicker-than-ideal ground over hurdles last time and has slipped to a workable mark. Teenager West To The Bridge will also appreciate this return to soft ground and is second choice. French Emperor and Bingoo also warrant mentions.[Chris Wilson]
