Verdict
Despite his 5lb penalty Bay City Roller shouldn't be underestimated given he can go well fresh, but this revolves around last season's Derby and Irish Derby winner LAMBOURN who bids to get his career back on track after ending the campaign with two disappointing efforts. This looks a good starting point given the race conditions. If fitness proves an issue for the aforementioned pair then King's Gambit may be the one to benefit, though rain could bring Royal Rhyme and Starford into the reckoning.[David Bellingham]
