Jim Goldie has won two of the last three runnings of this prestigious sprint and he has another strong candidate in the hat-trick seeking Eternal Sunshine. That one's stablemate, the relatively fresh veteran Jordan Electrics, also makes the shortlist, alongside the progressive 3yo Addison Grey and recent York winner Trefor. Geoff Oldroyd's team continues in good form and the unexposed Air Force One (second choice) makes plenty of appeal in first-time blinkers but the eye is drawn to FIVETHOUSANDTOONE at much longer odds. The selection is thrown in on the pick of his AW form this season and shaped encouragingly back on turf when sixth in the Great St Wilfrid.
