Verdict
Juan Les Pins, the only last-time-out winner in the field, still has plenty of handicapping scope despite being 3lb higher than for his recent Newcastle success. He has swerved ground with soft in the going description in the past, however, so could do with conditions drying out. Fuji Mountain returns on a tempting mark, as does Vince L'Amour, while J Street had excuses on her stable debut and could be a different proposition today. Emperor Caradoc (second choice) made a promising reappearance recently but CHARLIE MASON gets the nod. He has run with distinction in defeat over the winter and now returns to the scene of his last win.[Paul Smith]
