Verdict
This is a steep drop in grade for Goodwin but he was allowed to set a steady pace in the Summer Hurdle at Market Rasen in July and he dropped out tamely at the business end. Pahlavi kept on gamely to get off the mark at Downpatrick last month and Stinginhisstep (second choice) may still have more improvement to come but it's worth chancing SUN JOY, who returns from his break on a tempting mark and didn't run anything like as badly as his eventual 52l defeat might suggest at Kempton in February.[Chris Wilson]
