Verdict
No 3yo has won this race since 2001 so history is against both Thread Of Gold and Mr Vettori. Immutable ran a fine race in the Cork Derby last time but would prefer softer ground than this, so a tentative vote goes to THIS SONGISFORYOU. He's well drawn, has previous at this festival, and his latest run at the Curragh was a step in the right direction. The Real Screamer wasn't far behind the selection last time and can go well too if behaving himself in the stalls. Fixation and Satono Chevalier complete the shortlist. [Dave Stephens]
