Verdict
Into The Light was just 4-1 when 11th of 19 in the King George V Handicap at Royal Ascot and it's far too early to conclude that he can't live up to the abundant promise of his previous close call against the subsequent big-race winner Lost Boys. He's second choice but preference is for bottomweight ASTRACORNUS who so nearly went 2-2 in 1m2f handicaps, while looking as if a more strongly run race over this extra 1f could be just the ticket. Pierian comes at this from a different angle, after novice wins and a Listed fourth, while Steel Raven is also an intriguing handicap newcomer.[Richard Austen]
