Verdict
Top of the list is 4yo ASHDOWN FOREST (nap), who found more progress when scoring under Heidi Palin at Stratford last Saturday. He has a 6lb rise to deal with but that was a comfortable win and he's a big player again in his bid to make it 3-5 for Dan Skelton. Heart Above, who has finished runner-up in this race in the last two years, is feared most ahead of Two Auld Pals, who represents a yard that won this in 2023 and 2024. The other one on the shortlist is Scots Poet, who looks interesting on this drop back in trip.[David Moon]
