Verdict
Newtown Rambler flopped back over hurdles in July but that was after three consecutive chase wins and he's strongly respected back in this sphere. However, the vote goes to the lightly raced 5yo SMOKE TRAIL. This point winner was unbeaten in two hurdle runs at Kelso last season and is an interesting contender now switched to chasing for an in-form yard.[David Moon]
