Verdict
A race in which none of the five would be a surprise winner. Lump Sum (second choice) sets the standard on his third in the Henry VIII last time, although he was last to finish and always looked booked for that position. Preference at the likely prices is therefore to take him on with MAMBONUMBERFIVE, whose handicap form could hardly be working out better and whose yard has so many good novice chasers. Alnilam is another to consider, having been pulled up in the Henry VIII but that is far from a true reflection of his ability. [Keith Melrose]
