Blindedbythelights (second choice) and Belgravian should be all set to figure prominently but a chance is taken on the Ian Williams-trained bottomweight TROJAN STORM, who was priced up at huge odds when the betting opened for this race on Thursday. He's done little this winter but the 9.4f, 1m and 1m2f of those races were surely inadequate as he was previously unraced at shorter than 1m3f, except on his debut, and the big career highlight was last July's win on his only crack at 1m6f. He finished that race in grand style to give major hope for this new trip and another of his good runs last summer was at this track.[Richard Austen]
