Verdict
Headstrong juvenile Stardrop almost certainly has the raw ability to overcome his opening handicap mark but much depends on whether Sam Twiston-Davies can get him to settle reasonably well in the early stages here. A much safer alternative is IP UP, who made a pleasing seasonal debut in a more competitive race than this at Carlisle four weeks ago.
