Verdict
Northern Empire (second choice) and The Stone Power showed fair form on their debuts and should improve but the vote nevertheless goes to GUILDMASTER, from the Gosden stable which has unleashed other 2yo newcomers to winning effect in recent weeks. His three winning brothers all produced big runs as a 2yo first time out in Ireland. These are probably the only serious contenders.[Richard Austen]
