Verdict
It's hard to dismiss any of these and the tentative selection is A GREAT EXCUSE who won for Max Comley last December, has wind surgery since and is now with the Twiston-Davies yard who are going well. Mersey Street (second choice) looked good when winning twice over fences and his run last month was clearly needed given how he tied up. Helios Allen has done well to be placed on his three runs this term after being off for a long time and should run his race once more, while Hello Fortune is worth a second look on his chase debut.[Andrew Bladen]
