Melodical and Irish Fusilier shouldn't be written off after midfield finishes on their respective handicap debuts as both drop in class and showed promise as 2yos. King Cherry shaped as though there was a similar race in him here last week but he finished behind ROYAL COUNTY GLORY (nap) on that occasion and may do so again. Jack Jones' new acquisition was well backed ahead of that 6f prize but he suffered some early interference before being beaten a nose at the finish. He can gain compensation back at 7f.[Paul Smith]
