LAVA BURST (4) First up after a break. Placed 2nd last time here. Worth consideration. CAPE CANNERY (1) Tidy run when 3rd last time around here and will be aiming for a soft run from the draw. Jockey Manoel Nunes and trainer Carl Hewitson form a proven partnership. Genuine winning chance. RIVER HAWK (2) On a short turnaround. Underperformed when 7th last time at this track but gets a favourable draw. Should muster plenty of early toe. Hoping that the added weight won't hurt. Good prospects. BALOUCHI (5) Looked good when 3rd last run at this venue and demonstrating upward trajectory in recent races. Brandon Ecroignard provides some weight relief. One of the hopes.
