Verdict
The wide draw needs negotiating but MIDNIGHT GUN would have a good deal in his favour if he can return with an effort similar to his somewhat luckless defeat at Doncaster in October. His run in the Lincoln last year, when not far away in sixth, suggests he won't necessarily need the run back from a break. Golden Mind may prove the biggest danger ahead of Persuasion, who saw off Gweedore in this race last year, while Al Arbeed is another to consider.[Emily Weber]
