Verdict
Independent Jimmy began his chasing career with two good efforts this autumn and will presumably be ridden very positively again over today's shorter trip but the forecast slower ground here is probably not ideal and preference is for SCOTS POET. Ewan Whillans' 9yo, a dual course winner over hurdles, did not have the race run to suit his patient tactics at Sedgefield three weeks ago but is on a good mark now and ought to get a good pace to chase here.
