Verdict
The fitting of blinkers almost did the trick for Drumcondra (second choice) last time when he finished a place ahead of Shielas Well and there should be little between the pair this time. However, the eye is drawn to BALMERINO who also showed improved form when second on his handicap debut in July and the race may have come too soon when he was last of four eight days later. He has had a short break since and looks to be worth another chance. The other one to mention is the consistent Keats House. [Andrew Bladen]
