Verdict
The big two have large question marks to answer here. The 2024 Champion Chase winner CAPTAIN GUINNESS has been well below his best in two runs this season, but his trainer was positive about his work at home in a recent stable tour. He gets the tentative vote, with race conditions to suit. On ratings, Blood Destiny is the main rival but he was pulled up last time and has often run disappointingly. Touch Me Not is the solid option, but he must carry top weight. He could benefit if the aforementioned two disappoint, which is a distinct possibility. [Denis Harney]
