Verdict
Stateira's two visits to Newcastle have seen her record two wide-margin successes so she will rightly be popular for her in-form stable. This looks a tougher assignment than last time though and there are dangers. Carolina Jetstream, Ziggy's Queen (second choice) and Powdering all have something to recommend them but FOUETTE is preferred. She looked good in a couple of AW handicaps last autumn and two subsequent defeats in Listed races still represented improved form. She could well progress further after just seven starts.[Paul Smith]
