Verdict
Impressive Rosebery Handicap winner Gamrai is the standout candidate on recent evidence but Bellum Justum may well have benefited substantially from his recent run, just as he did when winning a Group 2 at this meeting last year. Like him, Nightime Dancer steps down from Group races and has been gelded. He has possibilities but watch out also for further reappearing, gelded 4yos in HOPEWELL ROCK and Daiquiri Bay. The latter (second choice) has already acquitted himself well in good handicaps but there's an even stronger feeling that Hopewell Rock can find improvement this term.[Richard Austen]
