A race of rare quality this early in the season, and a race which has nearly everything - except a front-runner. White Abarrio has a very smart trainer and could easily step into the breach - he has shown early pace before - and this potential makes him attractive value if he touches 5-1. However, for many, this is round three of the face-off between the two best 3yos of 2025. Sovereignty won both of their clashes last year decisively but they came over 1m2f which suited him. He is dropping back to 1m1f here and only his outrageous talent prevents confidence that it will catch him out. But everything seems in favour of JOURNALISM. He can go well fresh, is getting weight from his nemesis and, most importantly, drops back to his best trip. If he wins, a great rivalry could be sparked. [James Willoughby]
