Gordon Elliott has won five of the last six editions. He fields a strong team in which Lucky Lyreen makes plenty of appeal in a rematch with Born Braver, whose trainer Gavin Cromwell also saddles The Lovely Man with good prospects. Peter Fahey, who broke the Elliott sequence in 2021, has an intriguing runner in Koori Star, kept at shorter distances lately.
