Verdict
Six-time turf winner Sergeant Mayer came up a bit short at Newcastle two weeks ago in his bid for a four-timer but that was another creditable effort and he's strongly respected back in this sphere. Hanney Girl is on a dangerous mark and looks interesting on this drop back in grade, while Tees Aggregates and Emperor's Son are also in the mix. However, the vote goes to HOUNDHILL, who didn't get the best of runs when a close third over C&D last time and is a big player if he can repeat that form.[David Moon]
