Verdict
The fly in the ointment could be Timely Affair, who didn't offer much in three turf runs in the summer but who makes his handicap debut at a low level and is a half-brother to a useful winner. Latin and Ring Of Gold should give their running but VOLENDAM has shaped quite nicely in both runs for Tony Carroll and this could be the day she sheds her maiden tag. At likely bigger odds, don't rule out a good run from Hey Crackers either.[Paul Smith]
