Verdict
Portcullis is sure to be popular as an unbeaten colt from a top stable and he could well be a Group horse in the making but this isn't a penalty kick on his handicap debut and there are interesting alternatives. Ozat, Tremolo and McMurray (second choice) all appeal but MURASHAH (nap) is readily preferred. Ed Bethell's 5yo has created a positive impression in winning two lesser races this season and he can take this step up in class in his stride.[Paul Smith]
